Joint research on cybercrime by MIMOS and German university

A Memorandum of Agreement has been signed by MIMOS with German's Ruhr Unviersity Bochum on conducting joint research to tackle the cybercrimes such as Phishing, Pharming, Viruses, and Hacking.

MIMOS (Malaysian Institute of Microelectronic Systems) is a Malaysian government-owned R&D organisation specialising in the areas of Information & Commmunication Technology and Microelectronics. The joint research aims to explore the possibilities of other security method, beside firewall and anti virus software, such as specialised hardware which could block the cyber crime attacks or invasions.
