To share or not to share? These are the questions which the four WIMAX license holders in Malaysia need to ponder and come out with an decision in 2 months time.
The players are:
1. Asiaspace Dotcom Sdn Bhd
2. Redtone-CNX Broadband Sdn Bhd
3. Bizsurf (M) Sdn Bhd
4. Packet One Networks Sdn Bhd
What to share?
Cost and Infrastructure of setting up the transmission towers.
Green lights has been given by Malaysian government for these companies to share the transmission towers rather than building four different towers within the same area. Even the government would be able to support with some funding on this aspect.

Personal opinion:
If the operational can be reduced by these sharing, WIMAX service providers can focus more on the quality of the services and also providing the services at a lower price. It is basically a win-win situation for Government, service providers and consumers. I will go for QUALITY rather than the quantity.
